Why aren't questions that belong on Expats migrated there rather than closed?
Need to flag them for mods to migrate, unfortunately. It's not an automated process. So do vote to close, but also flag it, so that the mod can see and deal with it.

Why aren't questions that belong on Expats migrated there rather than closed?
Questions closed as "better on Expats.SE" don't get flagged automatically, so it definitely helps to add a quick mod flag to bring it to our attention.
Also, unless I'm absloutely wrong and missing ...

Expatriates is leaving beta. Should we finally get a migration path from here to there?
I cannot see any blocks to this being implemented once ExPats graduates. A similar process occurred when Cryptography graduated - they were one of the main destinations for mod-migrations from Infosec,...

Adding "post this on Expatriates" guidance to the ask page
Some details could be used from the expats what's on-topc help page. Shortening the first few of the "what to ask" points might be good enough and not too long:
If your question is about ...

Add Aviation to migration targets for off-topic questions
One of the key criteria for default migration paths is the level of migration occurring.

Why was this travel related post migrated to 3D printing?
This has happened because I've made a mistake - it was supposed to be migrated to Expats.SE, however the mobile site glitched and redirected it to the first site on the list (3D printing) instead of ...

Deleted answer breaks inbox menu?
The only reason I can think of as to why you'd end up on your profile is that the inbox itself links to your profile. That is, the button on the topbar is also a link to your global inbox on your ...

Should we migrate all non-site-specific, general questions about how SE works to the main Meta SE?
I seem to recall, from when MetaSE was hived off from MetaSO, the official advice was "pick either". I see little harm in that, provided SE does not mind the consequent fragmentation/duplication. ...

Migration path between Travel and Expatriates
We already have a custom close reason for questions that should be asked on Expats instead. I don't think we have any reason not to have a migration path instead. It certainly seems like it would be ...

Migration to DIY
Well I did ask in a comment on the Q whether it might be better on DIY, mainly because I felt repair work was off-topic here. It's not a travel question, I don't think. Others might disagree.

How did a question get migrated to IoT from here?
I made a mistake moving that question. One little slip of a finger.
Most of the time moves like that get rejected without us asking them to do anything, so I wait a little before asking them to reject ...

Add Aviation to migration targets for off-topic questions
It makes a few tons of sense to me, but I think this can be added by SE staff only, not by admins. So can the admins please chat with the staff to do so if it's approved?

Please migrate this thread to Expats
I flagged this both for off-topicness as well as for migration. This is IMHO the most efficient way to deal with migration. Posting here on Meta might not be as effective, since users/mods don't ...

Can we get a "Move to outdoors.SE" option?
So far we have only one migration target: Meta.Travel.SE. IMHO this is far too minimalistic. I think we could add Outdoors to the list of target sites, since we do share some scope and we've had ...

Why does the question list show "0" for this already-answered question?
